This is a foundation course which introduces concepts and methodologies for thinking about business data and how to turn business requirements into a dimensional model to support decision making.
ETL Design Principles
This course helps you understand the factors necessary to effectively design the back room ETL system used to load data into your data warehouse / business intelligence environment. This is a vendor-neutral architecture class which covers the lifecycle of ETL development starting with the first steps of data extraction, introducing transformations and business rules through to the final steps of readying data for presentation via a BI tool.
SQL for Business Intelligence
This course is designed to introduce and extend SQL techniques to enable you to develop efficient reporting and analytical solutions. Using practical exercises, we will cover the foundation data concepts and techniques to arm you with an approach to effective query design and analytical functions and provide you with the skills to get the most of your data for specific reporting and analytical challenges.
While DATAMetrics are technology agnostic, we do offer some courses specifically aimed at the more commonly used tools in use in organisations today. We use a variety of lab exercises and small projects to ensure you gain familiarity with the toolset and prepare you to build your own real world applications.
